1.Oats Kheer
Oats Kheer which is also popular as Oats payasam is an amazing healthy twist of using oats in Indian sweet recipes. Sweetened oatmeal complimented with saffron,nuts and raisins, this healthy dessert can be cooked in a pressure cooker or on the stovetop within minutes.
Oats Kheer is a healthier substitute of the epic rice kheer, but still having the same rich and creamy taste. This delightful dessert will be made using Quaker rolled oats, but we can use other store-bought brands too. We can serve this oats kheer warm or chilled. It is suitable for a wholesome breakfast or a perfect pudding after dinner.
Ingredients
- Rolled Oats- 30 gm
- Milk- 200 ml
- Ghee- ½ teaspoon
- Jaggery- 10gm
- Mix Nuts- 1 teaspoon (crushed)
- Saffron- for garnishing
Method
- Heat a pan, add ghee to it.
- Add rolled oats and roasted well
- Turn off gas and shift the roasted oats into a plate.
- Clean the pan and pour milk into it.
- Give a boil and add roasted oats.
- Stair it for 5-7 minutes
- Add crushed nuts, jaggery and saffron.
- Garnish with saffron & pista.
2.Oats Barfi
Barfi is a traditional diwali recipe. This time we combine the basic ingredients of burfi with oats. Oats burfi is a healthier version of burfi. This diwali put oats burfi into your hosting menu and drain the load of high cholesterol.
Ingredients
- Oats flour-35 gms
- Grated mashed khoya-15gm
- Almond Powder-15gm
- Sugar-35gm
- Ghee-5gm
- Cardamom powder-1gm
Method
- Start by boiling the sugar into water, for a sugar syrup.
- Add ghee into the pan and roast oats flour.
- Add khoya and cook for a few minutes.
- Add sugar syrup and mix well.
- Cook until the mixture leaves the corner of the pan.
- Grease a thali using ghee, shift the mixture and spread well.
- Cool it down and cut into square shape.
- Garnish with sliced almonds and enjoy it.
3. Oats Laddu
Oats laddu is the simplest and healthiest sweets to be made.
They can be made with sugar or jaggery both. Oats laddu can be made with less ghee. This Diwali serves the healthiest sweets to your guests and makes this Diwali healthy and guilt free.
Ingredients
- Rolled oats-100gm
- Coconut powder-150gm
- Jaggery-200gm
- Ghee-1 tsp
- Water-1 tsp
Method
- Heat a pan (heavy bottom pan) and dry roast oats. Cool them completely.
- Grind them coarsely in a dry grinder.
- In the same pan add ghee, jaggery, water and coconut powder.
- Stir it well until the jaggery melts.
- Add oats powder and mix it well.
- Let it cool down, make small round balls with greased palm.
- Decorate with raisin or sliced pista on the top.
- Serve or Store and enjoy.
4.Oats Halwa
Oats Halwa! A healthy alternative to traditional atta halwa. Oats halwa have the high fiber content competitively atta halwa. Oats halwa is a delicious and nutritious sweet to serve guests on the occasion of Diwali. You can use oats halwa as prasad also. And let everyone praise you for making their diwali guilt free.
Ingredients
- Oats Flour-½ cup
- Ghee-¼ cup
- Milk-½ cup
- Sugar-½ cup
- Cashews-2 tsp
- Cardamom powder-½ tsp
Method
- Heat a heavy bottom pan, add ghee.
- Add cashews and saute it well.
- Add oats flour and roast it for 2 min.
- Pour milk slowly slowly and stir.
- Add sugar and mix it well
- Add little ghee and cardamom powder.
- Garnish with nuts and serve.
